We want to thank everyone that participated in the 2009 Start! Bakersfield Heart Walk We couldn't have done it without you! We raised $127,675 and close to 1,000 people attended the walk.
About the Start! Heart Walk
The Bakersfield Start! Heart Walk is a 5K fitness walk and a 1/2 mile survivor walk that brings together companies to fight heart disease and stroke. Although you can register to walk as an individual, we recommend you join a team at your company. It provides friendly competition and a reason to get fit and train for the walk. It also creates a reason to band together with your co-workers for a common cause.
The Benefits of Walking In addition to raising money for lifesaving research and programs, you’ll also help your company and co-workers live happier, healthier, longer lives.
Increase company pride. Surveys show that over 90 percent of employees feel proud if their company supports an important outside cause.
